This CD is special in as much as the original songs were recorded on analog equipment. An attempt to preserve as closely as possible, the sound of the original recording.

With a name taken from a brand of steamroller,  Buffalo Springfield was formed in Los Angeles in 1966 with Stephen Stills on guitar, keyboards and vocals, Dewey Martin wad drums and vocals, Bruce Palmer on bass, Neil Young on guitar, harmonica, keyboards and vocals and Richie Furay was guitar and vocals. The band signed with Atlantic Records in 1966 and released their debut single "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing" and it became a big hit in the Los Angeles area. The following January, the group released "For What It's Worth" the song that they are and have always been known for.

After various drug-related arrests and line-up changes, the group broke up in 1968. Stephen Stills went on to form the super group Crosby, Stills & Nash. David Crosby from the Byrds and Graham Nash from the Hollies. Neil Young launched his solo career and later joined Stills in Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in 1969. Furay along with Jim Messina went on to form the country rock band Poco.

This CD is in excellent condition.
