Richard Edward "Eddy" Arnold was born May 15, 1918 and we lost him in May of 2008. Arnold was a country music singer who performed for six decades. He had 147 songs on the Billboard country music charts, second only to George Jones. Arnold sold more than 85 million records. He had been a member of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943, Country Music Hall of Fame since 1966 and ranked 22nd on Country Music Television's 2003 list of the 40 Greatest Men of Country Music.
