Henson Cargill released his album Skip A Rope on Monument Records in 1968.

Cargill was born in 1941. Known for his number 1 Country hit in 1968, Skip A Rope. He began his career in and around the clubs of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. He gained national recognition after he found a Nashville producer to produce "Skip A Rope"

This album was released in 1968 and included the following songs: It's Over,; By The Time I Get To Phoenix; A Very Well Traveled Man; Distant Drums; Skip A Rope; Saginaw, Michigan; reen, Green Greass Of Home; Just As Much As Ever; Black Jack County Chain; Four Long Seasons and Little Girls and Little Boys.

Cargill was a successful performer for many years in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. He also had a television show for some years. 

He passed in 2007 due to complications during surgery.
