1973 Elektra Records released this 45 rpm record by Harry Chapin. The A side was WOLD a song written by Chapin and produced by Paul Leko. On the B side Short Stories another song penned by Chapin and produced by Leko.

WOLD reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973. It received a lot of solid airplay throughout the country.   

Harry Chapin (December 7, 1942 – July 16, 1981) was an American singer-songwriter, activist, humanitarian, film-maker, and producer best known for his folk rock songs that garnered world wide success. His popularity grew early in the 1970's and by the end of that decade he was one of the most popular and highest paid singers. 

Harry Chapin was  a dedicated humanitarian who fought to end world hunger, he was key in the creation of the Presidential Commission on World Hunger in 1977. In 1987 he was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his humanitarian work. 

This record sounds good, it is good condition but does have a few minor needle scratches.
