Eric Carmen wrote Tonight which his group the Raspberries recorded and released in 1973 on Capitol Records.

"Tonight" became the biggest hit from the groups third album. This song reached number 69 on the US Billboard Hot 100, 37 on Cash Box and it reached number 89 in Canada.

Raspberries were a pop rock band that formed i 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio. They were successful starting in the early 1970's. The band known for their clean-cut image, they sported short hair and matching suits which brought them teeny bopper attention while a lot of insults from the mainstream media outlets calling them uncool. The group actually were influenced by groups such as The Beatles, The Who, The Hollies and even the Small Faces. 

The groups line up included Eric Carmen as lead singer, guitarist and pianist; Wally Bryson on guitar; Jim Bonfanti kept the beat on drums and Dave Smalley on guitar and bass. 

In 1975 the broke up after a five year run.

This 45 is a promo copy with the same song on both sides in Stereo making it rare and this one is in very good condition.
