In 1967 The Move released a  45 rpm record with I Can Hear The Grass Grow on the A side and on the B side Wave The Flag And Stop The Train. Both of the songs were written by Roy Wood. Both songs were produced by Denny Cordell. The record was released on Deram label for London Records.

The Move was a British rock band during the mid to late 1960's and on into the early 1970's. During those years they had nine records on the Top 20 UK singles.

They were the most popular British bands and actually did not find any real success in the US.

Chris Kefford was the bass player and vocalist and actually the original leader of the group.  For most of the groups best years Roy Wood was the leader. Wood was a guitarist, singer and songwriter and actually wrote all of the group's UK singles and sang lead on many. Carl Wayne was actually the main lead singer up to 1970. Keep in mind originally the band had 4 lead singers.

The Move was formed with five musicians in 1965. They all had experience in the Birmingham area. Members came from Carl Wayne and the Vikings, The Nightriders and the Mayfair Set. The name was chosen because of the moves the members made to form the group.

The original group was Wood, Kefford, Wayne, Bevan and Burton. The bands final line-up of 1972 was the trio of Wood, Bevan and Lynne and those three managed the transition into the Electric Light Orchestra.

This particular copy of this record is a promotional copy for radio stations. This one is rare and is in very good condition. One side of the label has to small x's marking the A side.
