Jet by Paul McCartney & Wings was released by EMI Records Limited on the Apple Label in 1973.
This 45 is a promotional copy for radio stations, which has the same song on both sides of the record. Mono on one side and Stereo on the other. I noticed on this record the mono side was copyrighted by EMI in 1974 and on the other side the Stereo side it was copyrighted in 1973.
This song was inspired by McCartney's Jet black Labrador and in 1974 this song reached number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 and it also reached number 7 in Europe also in 1974.
Jet is from the album Band on the Run which was mostly recorded in Lagos, Nigeria however Jet was recorded entirely at EMI Studios in London. Instrumentation used in the song includes electric guitars, bass, Moog, drums, piano, horns and strings. If you listen very close it reveals the Moog is used for the bass line during the verse and is simply Linda McCartney holding the root note
This record sounds fine and shows a little minor wear.
