Recorded in England and released by EMI in 1974. Hurricane Smith's Sam

Norman Smith was born in Edmonton, Middlesex and served as an RAF glider pilot during World War II. Following the war he attempted a career as a Jazz Musician which proved unsuccessful. Smith then joined EMI in 1959 as an apprentice sound engineer.

As time went on he became the engineer on all of the EMI studio recordings by the Beatles. That continued until 1965, when EMI promoted him from engineer to producer. The last of Beatles album he recorded was Rubber Soul, over all he engineered the sound for almost 100 Beatles songs.

Hurricane Smith was the name he chose to record under. He released several records and toured the European Cabaret circuit.

This record is in like new condition and is a radio station promotional copy. Beautiful Day, Beautiful Night is in mono while the other side SAM is in stereo. There is a small date and initial put on at a radio station but otherwise this is 45 rpm record in very good condition.
