Johnny Nash released Ooh What A Feeling as a single in 1973 on Epic Records. This is a radio station copy with the same song on both sides. Mono on one side and Stereo on the other. This record sounds good but has been used on air in the past. Still in good condition with a lot of hours of excellent listening left. On the label some minor markings from its radio days.
Nash was born in Houston, Texas and began his career as a pop singer in the 1950's. He released four albums for ABC-Paramount. Between the years of 1958 and 1964 he released around 20 singles on a variety of labels ranging from Groove, Chess, Aro and Warners.
Nash also enjoyed some success as an actor early on, appearing in the screen version of Take A Giant Step. In the same time frame he wrote the theme song to the syndicated cartoon The Mighty Hercules which was popular on television between 1963 and 1966.
In 1965, Johnny Nash and Danny Sims formed the JODA Records label in New York. One of the more interesting signings was four brothers from Newport, Rhode Island, ages 9, 11, 15 and 16, called The Cowsills. The Cowsills wrote and recorded what was going to be their debut single on JODA, it was All I Really Wanta Be Is Me.
