Here is a 1974 release by La Costa on Capitol Records. A side is He Took Me For A Ride and on the B side Sugarman. Norro Wilson produced this record.

In 1975 this single climbed the chart to number 10

This 45rpm record is in very good condition.

La Costa Tucker was born in 1951 in Seminole, Texas she is a country music artist. She had some memorable recordings in the 1970's and 1980's. La Costa is the older sister of Tanya Tucker. During her career La Costa charted several singles of her own in the 1970's on the Billboard Country Singles Charts.  

La Costa's father was a construction worker named Beau. He believed that La Costa had the talent to be a star. She won her first talent contest at the age of four. In-between entering beauty pageants and talent shows, she performed with Tanya in a band called the Country Westerners. During this time she managed to graduate from Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona and began working as a medical records technician as she managed to sing in local clubs and even was named Miss Country Music, Phoenix. 

During this period of time La Costa married airline pilot Daryl Sorenson. Sorenson worked as a pilot, managed La Costa's career and was the father of her children.  In 1974 La Costa moved to Las Vegas to be near Tanya and her dad Beau. Beau Tucker helped her get a recording contract with Capitol Records in 1974. At that point she recorded as La Costa and released this single which climbed to number 10.
