This car was sporting the blue and yellow Wrangler colors made famous by another talented champion, Dale Earnhardt.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., co-owner of the No. 8 Chance 2 Motorsports team, selected the paint scheme as a tribute to his late father who originally debuted the dstinct Wrangler colors during NASCAR's 1980 season finale race and ran it for the first rfull season in 1981. In pursuit of his first NASCAR Busch Series title, Truex Jr. earned six wins, 17 top five and 26 top 10 finishes in 34 events with seven pole awards.
