This 45rpm record is on the RCA Gold Standard Label. Distant Drums was recorded Feb. 9, 1966 and the flip side was Blue Side Of Lonesome was recorded Nov. 10, 1961. Both of these songs were big hits for Jim Reeves.

James Travis Reeves born August 20th 1923 was a real country artist. As a very popular country/popular singer and songwriter he had records charting from the early 1950's to the 1980's. Reeves became well known as a practitioner of the Nashville sound which was a blend of traditional country music and popular music.

Jim Reeves was known as "Gentleman Jim", and his songs continued to charg for years after his death in the crash of his private airplane. He is a member of the Country Music Hall Of Fame and The Texas Country Music Hall Of Fame. 

This record is in very good condition on one side of the label there is a name written but the record is good.
