Ace Cannon released Peace in the Valley on London Records in 1976. This is an excellent album including the following songs:Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain, One Day At A Time, I'll Fly Away, Amazing Grace, Why Me (Lord), (There'll Be) Peace In The Valley (For Me),Just A Closer Walk With Thee, You Can't Be A Beacon, It Is No Secret and Everything Is Beautiful.

This is a beautifully done album featuring the Jordanaires, Rhodes, Chalmers & Rhodes and the Nashville Edition on vocals. On strings the Memphis Strings and the Nashville Strings. Other musicians include Lloyd Green on Steel Guitar, on Rhythm Guitar; Tommy Allsup, Jimmy Capps and Robert Thompson. On Bass Guitar was Henry Strzelecki and Thomas Cogbill. Drums was Willie Ackerman. Lead Guitar was Billy Sanford, Peter Wade and Reggie Young. Jerry Smith and T.O. Earnheart were on Piano.

John "Ace" Cannon (born May 5, 1934). Ace is a Tenor and Alto Saxophonist and early in his career he toured with Bill Black's Combo until he started a solo career in 1961 with the son Tuff when it hit #17. He continued to use Bill Black's Combo as his back up band.

Cannon has been honored for his musical accomplishments with being inducted into the Rock and Soul Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2007 his hometown of  Calhoun City, Mississippi hosted its first annual Ace Cannon Festival and in 2008 he was inducted into the Mississippi Musicians' Hall of Fame.
