In 1969 Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys released the song Good Old Rock 'N Roll which went up Billboards Hot 100 chart to number 21 that year. Both songs on this 45 rpm record were produced by Cat Mother and Jimi Hendrix.

Cat Mother and The All Night Newsboys was co-founded by Roy Michaels and Bob Smith in the fall of 1967. Michaels had previously been playing with in the Au Go Go Singers with Stephen Stills and Richie Furay prior to the formation of Buffalo Springfield. Initial members were Bob Smith on keyboards and vocals as well as drums, Roy Michaels on vocals, bass and guitar, William David "Charlie" Chin on vocals and guitar, Larry Packer on guitar and violin and  Michael Equine on drums and guitar.

The group had an excellent following through regular appearances in 1967 and 1968 at the Cafe Wha?, and that led to a gig as the house band at New York's Electric Circus.

This 45 is a DJ copy that had been used on the air. The 45 sounds very good but shows some wear. The A side has timing marks and a date on it.
