Chet Atkins A Legendary Performer album release by RCA in 1977. This album is billed as a pleasant journey through Chet's first 20 years in the recording business and all of them with RCA. This album is touted as an album of milestones. We all have markers in our lives that mark certain things like a beginning, a turning point, a new direction and with each of those a certain something triggers that memory.

Here are 12 songs that Chet Atkins considered his special accomplishment markers: Ain'tcha Tired of Makin' Me Blue, I've Been Working on the Guitar, Barber Shop Rag, Chinatown, My Chinatown, Oh! By Jingo! Oh! By Gee!, Tiger Rag, Jitterbug Waltz, A Little Bit of Blues, How's the World Treating You, Medley: In the Pines: WIldwood Flower; On Top of Old Smoky, Michelle and Chet's Tune.

This copy of this album was produced as a promo copy primarily for radio station making it rare. This album is very good condition, the cover shows substantial shelf wear, but their is a special inner sleeve, heavier material than the usual thin paper with a nice picture of Atkins, on the back of that sleeve is a list of the songs that I have listed above on each also shows where and when it was recorded and the name of the producers.
