2002 Crime Thriller. It's April 1992 and just days before the acquittal of four white officers in the beating of Rodney King and the subsequent LA Riots. Eldon Perry (Russell), a veteran detective known for his fiery temper and singlehanded justice tactics, is tutoring rookie Bobby Keough (Speedman) while on the beat in South Central LA and while tracking down cold-blooded killers, they are faced with their own demons which prove to be worse than the criminals they pursue. This is a solid drama and with the backdrop of the LA race riots, the atmosphere is frightening and it's shocking to see the ruthlessness of the cops who think they are above the law. Kurt Russell is outstanding and Scott Speedman...well, he does a great job and we hope to see a lot more of him in the years to come! And we have.
