This 45 rpm record is very interesting for a couple of different reasons, first of all it is a promtional copy for radio station air play. But the side marked A side was actually the B side and the side marked B side was the A side and a hit by Lee Michaels on A & M Records in 1971. Do You Know What I Mean reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 that year.

Lee Michaels began his career with The Sentinals from San Luis Obispo, California. A surf group that included drummer Johnny Barbata later of the  Turtles, Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship.  Michaels later moved to San Francisco where he joined an early version of The Family Tree a band led by Bob Segarini. In 1967, he signed a contract with A&M Records where he released Carnival of Life, his debut album. Later that same year he worked as a studio musician for Jimi Hendrix among others.

This record is in good condition.
