This record was released by Miriam Makeba in 1967 on Reprise Record Label. 
Pata Pata was produced by Jerry Ragovoy. This song was co-written by Makeba and Ragovoy.

Born in 1932 in Johannesburg South Africa. Makeba was many things of course she was a singer, actress, United Nations goodwill amabassador and civil rights activist. Her musical style included what was called Afropop, jazz and world music.

Some of the groups Makeba sang with beginning in the 1950's included the Cuban Brothers, the Manhattan Brothers and the all woman group the Skylarks.

While performing in London she met Harry Belafonte, who became a mentor and colleague to Makeba. She then moved to New York City where she recorded her first solo album in 1960.

This 45 rpm record is like brand new. Very good condition.
