In 1972 the Ojay's Back Stabbers on Philadelphia International Records with excellent success. This 45 climbed to number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. The followed it with a chart topper called Love Train.

The O'Jays known as an excellent R&B group that started in Canton, Ohio in 1958. The orginal founding members were Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey and Bill Isles. The Ojay's hit the charts for the first time in 1963 with a son called Lonely Drifter. But their real success came when a team of producers and writers known as Gamble & Huff signed them to Philadelphia International Label.

By this time the group was a trio after the departure of Bobby Massey and Bill Isles. that is when Back Stabbers climbed to number three and they followed it with the chart topper, Love Train. Many other hits followed through the 1970's and into the 1990's.The O'Jays were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2005 and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. 

This record is a radio station copy with the same song on each side, one is mono and one is stereo and even though it sounds good it has some minor scratches. On the stereo side label are two small D's.
