Ronnie Hawkins released this 45 rpm single on Monument Records in 1972. The A side, Cora Mae was written by Hawkins. The B side Lawdy Miss Clawdy was written by Lloyd Price.
Hawkins is known as a rockabilly style musician was born in 1935 in Arkansas. Early success came to Hawkins in Ontario Canada and that is where he spent most of his life. He is considered highly influential in the establishment and evolution of rock music in Canada.
Hawkins sported a number of nicknames such as Rompin' Ronnie, Mr Dynamo and The Hawk. Hawkins was a big part of the 1960's rock scene in Toronto. He also has recorded more than 25 albums.
This 45 is a radio station copy and it is still in very good condition.
