Roy Kelton Orbison was born in 1936 and passed in 1988 as a result of a heart attack. Orbison was a singer, songwriter and musician best known for his impassioned singing style, deep and complicated song structures and heavy emotional ballads.
Orbison carried the a nickname of "the Caruso of Rock" and "the Big O". During his performances he was known for standing still and solitary and for wearing jet black hair and dark sunglasses. Unlike most of the rock and roll performers of that time who tried to project defiant masculinity Orbison music showed a side of vulnerability.
